Vtg Metal Sign Antique Do Not Enter Red Painted 8x6 Antique Curtiss Wright WW2
Price is for one (1); four (4) available. These signs were removed from rolling fire doors at the Wood-Ridge, New Jersey facility where Curtiss-Wright famously built and tested World War 2 aircraft engines. The facility has been redeveloped but the impact Curtiss-Wright and it's manufacturing had on both the Borough of Wood-Ridge and the United States war effort was undeniable. These signs show approximately 80 years of wear and tear. The red paint and yellow-painted lettering shows its history. Expect rust, tarnish, dings, bends, imperfections, etc. Each was clear-coated in order to stabilize the fragile layer of original paint and lettering. Signs measure about 8 inches by 6 inches. The buyer will receive one from this lot of four. We will continue to add more items from the long-shuttered and demolished Curtiss-Wright plant, so please check back with Westwood Lighting and Salvage often. There are a number of switches, fire boxes, lighting fixtures, etc that have yet to be cleaned and listed so please keep an eye out! Thanks for checking in and feel free to check us out on online and Insta! |
